Repairs this series usually needs
- F1 blower running status
- F2 low cook temperature
- F6 electrical compartment temperature
- F7 open thermocouple
- F8 heat rise low during warm-up
The High h Batch family has the older HhB, the double batch HhD and the single batch HhS. All are ventless high-speed impingement ovens for batch cooking. The double batch needs 208/240V single-phase on NEMA 6-50 or three-phase on NEMA 15-30, and the single batch runs on NEMA 6-30.
Models begin with HHB, HHD or HHS followed by the number series. The HhB messages are F1 for the blower, F2 for low cook temperature, F6 for the electrical compartment, F7 for an open thermocouple and F8 when the chamber does not warm up fast enough. We test the thermocouple, the heater and the blower in that order.
The HhB is an older line still in service. If one is beyond saving, we tell you before any money is spent.

During warm-up the chamber must rise about 35 F every five minutes. If it does not, the oven reports F8. A heater or blower problem is the usual reason.
Why does F7 show 999?
The control reads an open thermocouple as 999 degrees. The number is not a real temperature, just the sign of a broken sensor circuit, so a broken wire or a loose connector is where we begin.
Is an HhB worth repairing?
Often yes, because heaters and thermocouples are repairable parts. We write the price first, and we tell you honestly if the oven is too worn for the repair to pay off.
