Hoshizaki Models We Service

For ice, we work on KM stackable crescent cubers in both the H and J board generations, KMS Serenity remote-condenser machines, KMD and KML modular units, the KM-255B undercounter, older KM-320, KM-500 and KM-900 machines, F-series flakers, and DCM cubelet dispensers. For refrigeration we service Steelheart A-Series reach-in refrigerators and freezers, including the dual-temp and pass-thru versions.

Many of these machines are well past their first owner. Hoshizaki lists a normal room range of 45 to 100 degrees F, and a hot kitchen with poor air movement pushes an air-cooled condenser toward the top of it. Water scale, heavier in Houston, Los Angeles and San Diego, coats water valves, float switches and evaporator plates, while dust and grease clog condenser fins.

How We Start a Call

On an ice machine that is beeping, we count the beeps and read the board lights before touching anything, then check the water supply, scale, condenser airflow and the float switch. A 6-beep or 7-beep shutdown sends us to the supply voltage first. On a reach-in we start with the condenser, air filter, door gaskets and the E01 and E02 thermistor alarms. Steelheart units use R290, which is flammable, so we handle the sealed system with extra care.

On older units we tell you plainly when a repair is not worth the money. We confirm the model number and board type before the visit so the right parts arrive with us, give you a written price before work starts, and back our work with a 30-day workmanship warranty.

FAQHoshizaki questions
Do you repair older Hoshizaki KM ice machines?

Yes. We service current KMS and KM units as well as older KM, KMD and KM-255B machines still in daily use. If a machine is too far gone to be worth fixing, we tell you before any work begins and give a written price first.

What does it mean when my Hoshizaki ice machine beeps?

On KM machines the beeps are a coded alarm. One beep is high evaporator temperature, two is the harvest backup timer, three is the freeze timer, and six or seven point to low or high supply voltage. Tell us the count when you call.

Can you work on the ice machine and the reach-in refrigerator?

Yes. We service Hoshizaki ice machines and Steelheart A-Series reach-ins, so you can call one company for both. Call us or fill out the online form, and we will schedule your visit and confirm a three-hour arrival window.
