The interlock tells the motor control that the door is closed and locked. For safety, the motor control checks it with two separate channels, and both are expected to agree. If they give inconsistent results, the control can no longer trust the door-locked confirmation, and it shows ERROR 036 / INTERLOCK HARDWARE.
