- Warm cabinet from a dirty condenser
- Sensor codes
The PR family from Beverage-Air covers pass-thru cabinets, with doors on both sides, and roll-thru versions that take carts. Plate numbers such as PR1HC-1AHS, PR1HC-1AS and PR1HC-1BG show the section count and door arrangement. Twelve numbers are listed.
With two sets of doors, a pass-thru gets double use and double wear on its gaskets, hinges and switches. We check those first. A roll-thru adds a threshold and floor area that carts hit every day. Then we look at the condenser, the fans and the controller, which may be a Danfoss or an Eliwell.
If one side of the cabinet is warmer than the other, tell us which side, since it narrows the search. For roll-thru versions we also check the floor sill and the lower door edge, where cart wheels hit first.

Doors on either side count as open to the control. A long loading time on one side can trigger the door alarm. We check that the switches and seals are working.
Are pass-thru parts different on each side?
The doors are often mirror versions, and gaskets are matched by plate number. We confirm before the visit. A gasket for the front door will not always fit the rear door, so each side is matched on its own.
Can you adjust a door that drags?
Yes. We adjust hinges and the door fit and replace worn parts, then confirm the door seals. After that we run a paper test around each door to be sure it seals tight on both sides.
