Repairs this series usually needs
- Milk warm above safe range

- Dirty condenser
- Sensor codes
- Drain blockage
The SM and ST are Beverage-Air milk coolers, built to hold crates or cartons for cafeterias and schools. The plate numbers SM34HC, SM49HC and SM58HC give the width. Three numbers are listed.
Milk is picky about temperature, so a cooler that runs warm is a food-safety problem. We check the temperature with a thermometer first, then the condenser, the lid or door gasket and the fans. A milk cooler is opened in bursts during meal service, and the drain can collect spilled milk, so we look at that as well.
If you need the cooler ready for a school term, tell us your date and we plan the visit accordingly. Cartons stacked against the walls can block the air path, so we look at the loading as well as the refrigeration.

Follow your food-safety rules and check with a thermometer. If the cooler cannot hold the range, call us and move the milk. Write down the reading if you can.
Why does the cooler smell sour?
Spilled milk in the drain or under the crates is the usual cause. We clear the drain and clean what we can reach. We also wipe the tray and check the drain slope.
Do you service coolers on a school schedule?
We plan around your calendar when you tell us dates, and we give a written price before work. We never ask you to move heavy crates alone.
