Vulcan’s electric fryers include the ER50 and ER85 floor models, the JEF50-ES and the CEF40 and CEF75 countertop fryers. The model prefix tells you the style, and the number gives the oil size class.
For an electric fryer that will not heat, we begin with the breaker, the high limit and the contactor, then the elements and the thermostat. A limit that trips again and again usually points to low oil or a failing control.

Low oil, a failing thermostat or a stuck contactor can do it. Let the oil cool completely and call us, and we test each cause before any part is replaced.
Is a CEF a countertop fryer?
Yes. The CEF40 and CEF75 are countertop fryers, while the ER50, ER85 and JEF50-ES are floor models. The model on the data plate tells us which parts apply.
Can I have the price before you start?
Yes, in writing, with a 30-day workmanship warranty on our repair. If the tank has worn out, we tell you whether replacing the fryer is cheaper.
