The RIS and RISA are Victory roll-in refrigerators, built so a loaded rack or cart can roll straight in. The plate numbers look like RIS(A)-1D-S1-G-HC and RIS(A)-1D-S1-PT-G-HC, and the PT in some numbers marks a pass-thru. Nineteen numbers are in the line.

A roll-in cabinet is a big air volume with a door that stays open during loading, so warm air floods in. Carts also knock the sill and the door edge. We check the gasket and the sill first, then the condenser and fans, and then the codes on the VCC display.

If a cart catches the door edge, tell us. A small adjustment saves the gasket and keeps the box from running warm. We check the sill for dents too, because a bent sill leaves a gap at the bottom of the door that no gasket can close.

Why does HI show right after loading?

The door was open a long time and warm product went in, so the air temperature rose. If the message clears as the cabinet recovers, it was the load. If it stays, we look at the seals and the condenser.

What does PT in the number mean?

PT marks a pass-thru version with doors on both sides. It has two sets of gaskets, hinges and switches, so we check both sides when we service one.

Do you replace roll-in door gaskets?

Yes. We confirm the gasket for your plate number, quote it in writing first and check the seal along the sill when the new one is in.
