The VUR is the Victory undercounter refrigerator, with 30 numbers such as VUR27HC, VUR32HC and VUR119HC. Compressors mount at the rear or the side. The controller is a Danfoss ERC type, which shows Hi, Lo, dOr, LEA and the sensor codes E01 to E04.

An undercounter needs air. We begin with clearance and the condenser, then the gaskets and fans, then the display. LEA tells us the compressor ran too long, so we ask whether doors were open and whether the box is loaded heavily.

The VUR27HC is a common size, and we keep its gaskets in mind when we plan a visit. After a repair we let the cabinet run through a full cycle and watch the display before we leave.

What does LEA mean on a VUR?

The compressor ran longer than the control allows. Doors left open, a heavy load and a dirty condenser come first, and a refrigerant loss is the one we check last.

Rear or side mount: does it matter?

It affects where the condenser breathes. We check clearance on the side that draws air, since a wall or a stack of boxes there makes the box run hot.

What does dEF mean on the display?

It means the cabinet is defrosting, which is normal. The message clears by itself. If it stays on for hours, tell us and we check the defrost.
