The CBR is the Victory refrigerated chef base, a drawer cabinet that sits under cooking equipment. Eight numbers are listed, including CBR36HC, CBR48HC and CBR112HC. The controller is a Danfoss ERC type.
Chef bases work under heat, so we check the condenser and the drawers first. Then we look at the gaskets, the slides and the controller. The freezer-side CBF tables share part of the code list, so some messages carry over between the two.
Tell us what sits on top of the base, since a hot griddle adds a lot of load to the cabinet. After the repair we recheck every drawer, since a base can hold temperature in one drawer and warm in the next. We also check that the base sits level under the equipment.

Heat from the equipment above and a dirty condenser load the cabinet. We clean the coil, check the drawer seals and look at how much space the base has around it.
Is the CBF the same as the CBR?
The CBF is the freezer version of the chef base. Its code list is similar, but the temperature range and defrost differ, so we check them separately.
Do drawers need new slides?
With heavy use they wear and start to bind. We replace worn slides and rollers and check that each drawer seats against its gasket. Wiping grease off the tracks helps.
