Common Bally problems we fix
In plain words, the way kitchen and laundry staff describe them when they call.
Box will not hold temperature
Door does not close and latch
Frost or ice at the door frame
Gasket is worn or torn
Evaporator coil is iced up
Condensing unit is dirty and running hot
How a Bally Box Is Built
Bally builds pre-engineered walk-in coolers and freezers from sections, so a Bally box is a set of insulated panels bolted together, with a hinged door and a refrigeration system on it. We repair the box and the cooling side. On the door, the spring hinges and the touch latch wear out first, and a door that no longer pulls shut on its own lets warm air in all day.
Start at the Door
Most calls begin there. A worn gasket, a sagging door or a latch that does not catch will keep a box from holding temperature, so we look at the door before the refrigeration. Frost or ice around the frame means the anti-condensate heater element in the frame may have stopped working, and a heater at the pressure relief port can fail the same way on a freezer. We replace those parts and test the circuit.
On the cooling side, Bally boxes are paired with low-profile and center-mount unit coolers and air-cooled condensing units. An iced evaporator sends us to the fan delay and defrost termination control, and a dirty condensing unit in summer heat is a common reason a box drifts warm.
Finding the Plate and Planning Parts
The serial plate is on the inside of the door frame, next to the vapor-proof light. Read it to us when you call and we plan the parts before the visit. Many Bally boxes have been in service for decades. We repair them when the panels are sound, and we tell you plainly when a box is not worth more money. Our work comes with a 30-day workmanship warranty.

Bally lines and model numbers we service
Current and older lines. Find the number on the data plate and open its series for the usual repairs.
Where is the serial plate on a Bally walk-in?
It is inside the door frame, next to the vapor-proof light. Read us what the plate shows when you call, and we can plan the parts for the visit.
Why is there ice around the door of my Bally freezer?
The anti-condensate heater in the door frame may have stopped heating, or the gasket is letting humid air in. We test the heater and the seal.
Can an old sectional Bally box still be repaired?
Often yes, when the panels are dry and sound. We repair the door, the heaters and the cooling system, and say plainly when the box has aged past a sensible repair.
