Repairs this series usually needs
- Long freeze and long harvest events
- High condenser temperature and high pressure events
- Expansion valve and flooding evaporator events
- Thermistor and bin level probe sensor problems
- Water system and ice thickness probe events
This is the earlier Indigo family, before the NXT touch display. The model numbers begin with I, such as ID0302A, IY0604A, ID1002A or IR1800A, and the letters at the end separate air-cooled, water-cooled and remote versions. The control board keeps an Event Log that a technician reads under the service menu.
Plenty of these Indigos still turn out ice every day in restaurants and bars. The Event Log tells us about long freezes, high pressure trips, sensor problems and water system events, which is why we begin there. Scale on the probes and heat at the condenser are behind a good share of the entries.
We combine the log with a look at the water supply, the probes and the sealed system, and we are straight with you if a repair would not pay off.

It is a list of events the board recorded, numbered E01 to E34. Some are alarms and some are only notes. We read it to see what the machine has been through.
Is an Indigo this age still worth repairing?
Frequently, particularly when scale, a probe or a dirty condenser is the cause. We put the price in writing and say so if the age of the unit argues against a repair.
What is the difference between an E board and a G board?
They are revisions of the same control. The log meanings are mostly shared, with a few timing differences, so we check which board you have first.
