Dexter Commercial Washer Repair
We repair Dexter T-series commercial front-load washers from the T-300 through the T-1450 for laundries in Miami, Los Angeles, Houston, New York and San Diego. We read the display code, check the drive and plan parts before we arrive.
Common Dexter washers problems
In plain words, the way kitchen and laundry staff describe them when they call.
F1 door will not lock
F2 no water or slow fill
F8 slow drain, standing water
Door will not open after the cycle
Water leaks at the door gasket
Cylinder will not turn, drive code
Dexter T-series washers use a main board and a variable-frequency drive to spin the cylinder. When something goes wrong, the display shows an F code. F1 is the door lock, F2 is a water supply or fill problem, F8 is slow draining, and F13 through F19 and Drive Error 1 relate to the drive.
For no water or a slow fill, we check the supply valves, the inlet screens and the fill valves, which scale up in hard water. A door that stays shut at the end of a cycle sends us to the thermoactuators and the door solenoid. A leak around the loading door starts at the gasket.
The washers must stay powered off for one minute after power is removed, or they will not operate properly, so please wait before restarting. Control fuses differ by size: the T-300 to T-950 use a smaller fuse than the T-1200 and T-1450, and we check the right one for your model.
Our work carries a 30-day warranty, and the price is in writing before we begin.

What does F2 mean on a Dexter washer?
F2 means water is not reaching the tub as expected. Check that both faucets are open. If it still shows F2, we check the inlet screens, the fill valves and the water pressure.
Why will the door not open at the end of the cycle?
The door lock may be waiting on its thermoactuators or solenoid. Wait a few minutes with the power on. If it stays locked, we test the lock parts.
How big are Dexter T-series washers?
They run from about 20 pounds up to 90 pounds depending on the model. Tell us the model number, such as a T-650 or T-1450, and we confirm parts.
