UniMac Industrial Laundry Repair
We repair UniMac washer-extractors and dryers used in on-premise laundries at hotels, hospitals, gyms and care homes in Miami, Los Angeles, Houston, New York and San Diego. Large and older machines are our regular work, from UniLinc controls to current drive boards.
Common UniMac industrial laundry problems
In plain words, the way kitchen and laundry staff describe them when they call.
UniLinc error log full of repeats
Temperature sensor open or shorted
Frame balance switch error
Drive balance switch error
SPI error between control boards
Leak detected after the cycle
An on-premise laundry cannot afford a washer-extractor that sits idle, so we start with what the control tells us. UniLinc machines keep an error log of the last eight errors, each with a date and time, and they count errors in an audit. Reading that history shows whether we are chasing a one-time stop or a part that is slowly failing.
The named messages on these controls point us in the right direction. A Frame Balance Switch Error or Drive Balance Switch Error sends us to the switches and the suspension. An Open or Shorted Temperature Sensor Error sends us to the probe and its wiring. An SPI Error means the control cannot talk to the output board, so we check the cable and connectors first.
Large machines shake hard, and power dips are tough on drives and boards, so before replacing parts we check the incoming power, the motor drive and the mounting. We service the older UW series and the UC and UCA models.
The price is written down before we start, and a 30-day warranty on our work stands behind the repair.

What does a Balance Switch Error mean?
The control sensed the machine shaking more than it should during a drain or spin and stopped. Check that the load is not tangled. If the error repeats on a normal load, we inspect the switch and suspension.
Can you read the UniLinc error history?
Yes. We read the last eight errors and the error counts to see which circuit keeps failing. That tells us where to start, and we explain what we find before any repair.
What causes an SPI Error?
It means the control board and output board cannot communicate. A loose cable is the first thing we test. If the cable is sound, we check power to the boards and then the boards themselves.
