Steamer & Kettle Repair in Miami, Los Angeles, Houston, New York and San Diego
Steamers and kettles depend on water, pressure and heat working together. We repair steam cabinets, steam kettles and tilting skillets, deal with scale, and quote in writing before work.
Which steamers & kettles do you have?
Pick the maker on the data plate: each page lists its problems, codes and model series. Not on the list? Call us; we repair other makers too.
Common steamers & kettles problems we fix
In plain words, the way kitchen and laundry staff describe them when they call.
Steam weak or cooking slowly
Water or steam leaking at the door
Scale built up in the generator
Low-water or drain problems
Kettle heating unevenly
Tilt mechanism hard to move
Cabinets, kettles and skillets
Countertop and floor steamers, boiler-based and connectionless models, steam jacketed kettles and tilting skillets make up this category. Hospital, school and senior living kitchens use them, along with hotels and restaurants that cook soups, sauces, rice and vegetables in volume.
Water decides most outcomes. Hard water, common in Los Angeles, San Diego and Houston, leaves scale in generators, level probes and valves, which cuts steam and strains the heating parts. Door gaskets wear from heat and moisture, and drain lines clog with food and scale. Kettles add jacket and heat-source issues of their own.
What we check, and what to avoid
We look at the water supply, the filter and any softener, the generator or boiler, level probes and valves, the door gasket, the drain and the heat source. On kettles we also inspect the jacket, controls, safety valve and tilt mechanism. Scale explains many problems, so we look for it early.
Older steamers and kettles can often be repaired when the tank or jacket is sound, and we say plainly if corrosion has gone too far. Please do not throw a steaming door fully open or work on a pressurized jacket, and let everything cool before touching it. Have the data plate ready.

Slow cooking often points to scale in the steam generator, a leaking door gasket, a weak heat source or a drain problem. We check the water supply and door seal first, then the heating system.
