Speed Queen Machines We Repair
Most of our Speed Queen work is on the Quantum frontload washers, whose model numbers begin SFN, and the Quantum top-loaders that begin SWN. Both have an electronic control with a front-end board, and the frontloaders add an inverter drive. We also repair older metered and non-metered top-load washers with timer, EDC, MDC or NetMaster controls, stacked washer-dryers, single and stacked gas or electric dryers, and the 20 to 100 pound S-prefix washer-extractors.
Why Laundromat Machines Wear the Way They Do
These machines run all day in a warm, humid room. Lint packs the exhaust duct, hard water coats inlet screens and mixing valves (a bigger issue in Houston, Los Angeles and San Diego), and coin drops and card readers take daily abuse. A washer that fills slowly sends us to the pressure sensor, the hose screens and the valve. A door code on a frontloader points to the lock and its wiring.
On a Quantum washer the display code tells us where to start: door lock, pressure sensor, drain or inverter. A dryer showing OP or SH sends us to the thermistor and its connector. A dryer that heats poorly starts with the exhaust path and, on gas models, the gas valve, before any board is replaced. We match parts to your model number before we come out.
Older machines are common in coin laundries, and we tell you plainly when a repair no longer pays. Whatever we recommend, you see the price in writing first, and the work carries a 30-day workmanship warranty.

My Speed Queen washer shows a door code. What should I try?
Make sure nothing is caught in the door, close it firmly, and turn the power off and back on once. If the code returns, the lock or its wiring needs testing, so call us with the model number.
Do you fix the coin drop and card reader on these machines?
Yes. We repair coin drops that reject coins, card readers that lose communication and break-in alarms after a switch trips. We check the coin path and wiring first, then the control. The price is quoted in writing before we start.
Can you work on older Speed Queen dryers?
Yes. Older single and stacked dryers are still in service in laundromats everywhere. We check the exhaust, the thermistor and the gas valve, and we say plainly when a repair is close to the price of a newer dryer.
