IPSO Models We Work On
IPSO washer-extractors carry ICN model numbers from the ICN020GNF to the ICN100GNF, covering 20 to 100 pounds, with a front-end control and a motor drive. On the drying side we service the IPD120 and IPD170 tumble dryers, gas-heated G2 and steam-heated S2, with an On Premise Micro control. Plenty of these dryers are older machines still working hard.
A laundry wears in predictable ways. Scale builds up in fill valves and inlet screens (hard water is the rule in Houston, Los Angeles and San Diego), lint packs ducts and sensors, and dryers in warm rooms lose airflow quickly. A washer that stops with a fill error usually sends us to the valves and screens, while a drain alarm points to the drain valve and plumbing.
Reading the Display
A door lock error leads to the latch and switch. An Ed code leads to the motor drive and its wiring. An unbalance error leads to the load, the suspension and the switch. On an IPD dryer, OP or SH means the thermistor circuit is open or shorted, and AF means the airflow switch is not seeing enough exhaust.
We confirm parts by model number before we come out, quote in writing and cover the repair for 30 days. On older units we say plainly when a repair is not worth it.
IPSO codes and alarms
What the display or the blinking light means, what is safe to check, and when to stop and call us.
IPSO lines and model numbers we service
Current and older lines. Find the number on the data plate and open its series for the usual repairs.
Which IPSO models do you repair?
The ICN020GNF through ICN100GNF washer-extractors and the IPD120 and IPD170 gas and steam dryers. If you have another IPSO model, call with the number from the data plate and we will tell you what we can do.
What does an Ed code mean on an IPSO washer?
Ed codes come from the motor drive. Cycling the power once is a safe first step. If the code returns, we test the drive, the motor and the wiring and explain what we find in writing.
Why does my IPSO dryer stop with AF?
The airflow switch is not seeing enough exhaust. Empty the lint screen and look at the outside vent hood. If AF returns, we inspect the duct, the switch and the fan.
