Walk-In Cooler & Freezer Repair in Miami, Los Angeles, Houston, New York and San Diego
Walk-ins hold your most valuable inventory, and trouble builds quietly. We service the evaporator, condensing unit, door and controls, and give a written price before work begins.
Which walk-in coolers & freezers do you have?
Pick the maker on the data plate: each page lists its problems, codes and model series. Not on the list? Call us; we repair other makers too.
Common walk-in coolers & freezers problems we fix
In plain words, the way kitchen and laundry staff describe them when they call.
Room running warmer than usual
Ice growing on the evaporator or ceiling
Condensing unit loud or short-cycling
Failing door heater or gasket
Water dripping from the evaporator
Ice on the floor or door frame
Boxes, rooms and remote systems
Prefabricated walk-in coolers, freezers and combination boxes serve restaurants, groceries, convenience stores, hotels, schools and clinics. The category includes the refrigeration behind them: air-cooled and remote condensing units, unit coolers, and the controls and defrost parts that keep them running.
Outdoor condensing units sit in sun and rain, and coils clog with dust, leaves and grease from nearby exhaust fans. Salt air on the Miami, Los Angeles and San Diego coasts corrodes fins and fittings, while a Manhattan rooftop unit may be exposed to wind and soot. Door gaskets and strip curtains wear from constant traffic, and warm humid air entering the room turns to ice on the evaporator.
What we check, and what you can do
We inspect the door seal and closer, evaporator fans and coil, defrost operation and drain, then the condensing unit coil and fan, before testing the sealed system. A warm room does not reveal whether airflow, defrost or refrigerant is behind it, so we measure.
Older boxes can stay in service while the panels are dry; wet panels or a rotted floor call for a different conversation, and we raise it early. Have the data plates for the evaporator and condensing unit ready. Please do not chip ice from the coil or open a refrigeration line, and follow your food-safety plan for stock.
Walk-in coolers & freezers codes by maker
The same characters mean different things on different makers and controls, so pick yours first.

Insulated panels, a door with a gasket and often a heater, an evaporator inside, and a condensing unit outside or on the roof. Controls, a defrost system and a drain line tie them together, and trouble can start in any of them.
Do you work on both indoor and outdoor condensing units?
Yes. We service units outdoors, on a roof or in a back room, and remote systems that serve more than one box. Mention access and clearance when you book so we arrive prepared.
Can an older walk-in be repaired rather than replaced?
Often, if the panels are dry and the floor and frame are sound. We check the box first, then the system, and tell you which repairs make sense. The written price comes before any work.
